The Australian Museum is seeking a seasoned Events Coordinator to join their team. As an integral part of the Events Department, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional experiences for clients and stakeholders.

About the Role:

This role primarily involves overseeing event-day operations, ensuring seamless execution, and providing excellent client service. You will work closely with the Events & Venues Manager and team members to achieve this goal.

Key responsibilities include managing event logistics, coordinating with external suppliers, and maintaining detailed records. Your ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and remain calm under pressure will be essential in this fast-paced environment.

Your Skills & Experience:

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • Proven experience in events coordination, preferably in a museum or cultural institution setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, staff, and external partners.
  • A high level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with safety and security procedures, as well as basic knowledge of technical requirements for events.
