Key Role: People Operations Specialist

The main objective of this position is to facilitate the day-to-day operations of the people operations team. This involves working closely with various stakeholders, including people managers and employees, to ensure a seamless employee lifecycle experience.

This role will be responsible for driving the cadence of the people operations team and reporting directly to the people operations manager. Based in Sydney, you will be part of a dynamic team that works commercially to enhance efficiency and improve the overall people experience.

As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's growth and development. You will work closely with a diverse group of stakeholders to continually improve and streamline the way the people operations team operates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement global onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Provide guidance and support across the entire employee lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain engaging tools to enable staff to self-help.
  • Manage staff performance, including probation management and performance cases.
  • Oversee learning and development activities and assist with coaching and upskilling of people managers.
  • Manage human resources information systems (HRIS) and employee records.
  • Stay up-to-date with employment legislation and refine people-related processes accordingly.
  • Assist with cyclical activities such as annual and mid-year performance reviews.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of progressive people experience.
  • Solid experience with performance management and employee relations.
  • Heavy commercial focus and a proven track record of developing and implementing people programs.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Able to decipher between staff wants and needs.
  • Strong knowledge of HR systems and passion for leveraging technology.
