Job Opportunity: Maintenance Coordinator

Our organization is seeking a skilled Maintenance Coordinator to oversee the maintenance program at one of our residential aged care facilities.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing preventative maintenance tasks and performing reactive repairs as needed. You will also manage external maintenance contractors and ensure that all work is completed in a safe and timely manner.

The ideal candidate will have a trade certificate or equivalent qualification in building services, along with strong communication skills and a positive attitude. Experience in a handyman or building services role is highly desirable.

You will work closely with residents, families, and colleagues to provide high-quality care and support. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute the preventative maintenance program throughout the facility.
  • Perform reactive repairs on items within the facility as needed.
  • Manage the coordination of external maintenance contractors as required.
  • Work in a safe manner to protect yourself, colleagues, and residents by following all policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • A trade certificate or equivalent qualification in building services.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Experience in a handyman or building services role.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with residents and their families.
  • Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences, and spiritual beliefs of residents.
  • Willingness to undergo a Police Check and NDIS clearance.
