Project Engineer for Roadway and Bridge Design

We are seeking an experienced project engineer to join our team in Maitland, AU.

The successful candidate will have expertise in designing bridges and miscellaneous roadway structures to support a wide range of FDOT projects. Projects will include minor and major roadways, interchanges, and offer the opportunity to mentor junior staff and be mentored by local experts in the transportation industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed design of bridges and miscellaneous roadway structures that conform to acceptable design standards.
  • Prepare engineering calculations and sketches and review drawings and BIM models.
  • Manage multiple projects and ensure timely execution.
  • Assist in QA/QC of final design packages prior to issuing for construction.
  • Communicate with clients to provide timelines and project updates.
  • Provide reports regarding multiple projects simultaneously.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university or college.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Florida is strongly desired or ability to obtain PE License within 6 months of hire.
  • 6+ years experience in Structural Engineering on Transportation/Roadway projects.
  • Proven proficiency utilizing various computer software packages and automated engineering equipment.
