We are seeking a Structural Project Engineer to perform detailed design of bridges and miscellaneous roadway structures. This role involves analysis and design work that must conform with acceptable design standards and meet the specific requirements of the Florida Department of Transportation or the Federal Highway Administration.
The incumbent will be responsible for planning and conducting tasks requiring independent judgment in the evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard design engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Perform analysis and detailed design of bridges and miscellaneous roadway structures.
- Prepare engineering calculations and sketches, and review drawings and BIM Models.
- Manage multiple projects and assume responsibility for project execution within required timeframes.
- Perform and assist in QA/QC of final design packages prior to issuing for construction.
- Communicate with staff and clients to provide timelines and project updates on a consistent basis.
