Senior Bridge Design Engineer Position

This role involves serving as a technical leader, requiring a Professional Engineer (PE) license and corresponding work experience. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating overall design activities, project submission schedules, and ensuring the final product meets technical requirements through QA/QC duties.

Main Responsibilities
  • The Senior Bridge Design Engineer performs independent planning and design tasks, reviews work of others, prepares construction documents, and delivers projects to completion.
  • Maintains collaborative working relationships with project team members to achieve common goals.
  • Possesses knowledge of codes and standards applicable to bridge design, including transportation-related regulations.
  • Develops schedules, technical proposals, and labor hour estimates to support project planning.
  • Promotes quality assurance and control processes to improve deliverables and reduce design errors, enhancing overall project efficiency.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant Engineering field from an ABET-accredited institution is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of job-related experience, including transportation-related bridge design experience, is necessary for this position.
  • Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) is mandatory.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Microstation, Open Roads, InRoads, and other related software programs is essential for this role.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as organizational and time management skills, are crucial for success in this position.
