About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to join our Digital Solutions team, focusing on BlastIQ products. As a Product Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our analytical tools, defining product vision, creating detailed product requirements, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a clear, strategic roadmap for Orica's BlastIQ products, aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
- Identify market opportunities, understand customer requirements, and analyse industry trends to drive innovation.
- Work closely with other product teams, engineering, data science, and UX/UI teams to translate product vision into detailed requirements, user stories, and prototypes.
- Manage the product backlog, prioritizing features based on customer feedback and business value.
- Ensure clear communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, gathering feedback, conducting market research, and analysing competitors to inform product decisions.
- Experience in drill and blast roles.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in the mining industry.
- 3+ years of experience in digital solutions industry.
- Strong technology competency with the ability to manage data, models, and modern software applications.
- Product management experience, including Lean, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
- Customer relationship management experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel internationally and to remote locations when required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
