About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to join our Digital Solutions team in Kurri Kurri. As a Product Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our analytical tools, BlastIQ. Your expertise in mining, data analysis, and product management will drive the development of innovative products that offer significant value to our clients in the mining and resources sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a clear, strategic roadmap for Orica's BlastIQ products aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
  • Manage the product backlog, prioritizing features based on customer feedback and business value.
  • Collaborate with engineering, data science, and UX/UI teams to translate product vision into detailed requirements, user stories, and prototypes.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ongoing product improvement through regular product reviews and user feedback.

Requirements

  • Experience in drill and blast roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as Mining Engineering, Geology or a related discipline.
  • 3yrs+ in the mining industry.
  • 3yrs+ in digital solutions industry.
  • Strong technology competency with the ability to manage data, models, and modern software applications.
  • Product management experience. E.g. Lean, Agile, Scrum methodologies.
  • Customer relationship management experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in addition to strong technical writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally and to remote locations when required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
