About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled procurement professional to make a significant impact on our business. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing categories across indirect spend, packaging, and raw materials. You will work closely with our Sourcing Manager to drive procurement excellence and achieve business objectives.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance supplier relationships.
  • Manage direct reports and provide guidance on procurement best practices.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage pricing and procurement metrics.
  • Analyze RFPs, RFOs, and tender responses to ensure the best value for our business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve internal customer satisfaction.
  • Support the Procurement Manager in identifying and evaluating alternative materials or suppliers.
  • Manage the allocation and creation of SAP item numbers for new materials.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • Strong leadership skills with the capacity to positively influence people and drive change.
  • Over 3 years of experience working in procurement sourcing roles within FMCG organizations, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to develop and utilize information management systems.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Intermediate to advanced competency in computer-based communication and information management tools.
  • Understanding of the raw materials, packaging, and indirect categories in the FMCG environment.
  • A detailed working knowledge of the entire supply chain.
