Procurement Expert

Bulla Dairy Foods is a proud Australian family-owned business with a rich history of producing high-quality dairy products. We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled procurement professional to take on a key role in our procurement team. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing categories across indirect spend, packaging, and raw materials. You will work closely with our Sourcing Manager to develop and implement procurement strategies that drive business growth and improve efficiency.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing direct reports and ensuring the effective implementation of procurement strategies
• Obtaining quotations from suppliers and maintaining pricing systems
• Analyzing RFP, RFO, and tender responses to identify the best suppliers for our business needs
• Completing contract recommendations and negotiating with suppliers as required
• Managing supplier relationships and coordinating samples and specifications with suppliers
• Supporting the Procurement Manager in identifying and evaluating alternate materials or suppliers that may provide quality or cost improvements
• Actively communicating with the Marketing, Operations, Quality, and Innovation functions to understand their specific needs and requirements

You will have:

• Strong leadership skills with the capacity to positively influence people and initiate change
• Over 3 years of experience working in procurement sourcing roles within FMCG organizations, preferably in food manufacturing
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to develop and maintain information management systems
• Intermediate to advanced competency in computer-based communication and information management tools
• Understanding of the Raw Materials, Packaging, and Indirects categories in an FMCG environment
• Detailed working knowledge of the entire Supply Chain
