Drilling Crew Member Required for Underground Operations

Mitchell Services is a leading provider of drilling services to the global exploration, mining, and energy industries.


We estimate the annual salary for this position to be around $90,000 - $120,000 AUD, depending on experience.



About the Role

The role involves working collaboratively with experienced drillers to maintain safe drilling operations. The successful candidate will have a 14 days on and 7 days off roster and will be required to work FIFO from Brisbane Airport, Perth Airport or Darwin Airport or DIDO within an acceptable distance.



Key Responsibilities

  • Minimise Breakage and Down Hole Loss: Ensure accurate prestart checks are performed diligently to prevent equipment damage and loss.
  • Report Incidents Immediately: Document all incidents and near misses to ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Assist Drillers: Collaborate with experienced drillers to achieve safe and efficient drilling operations.
  • Ensure Accuracy in Sample Markup: Verify sample orientation and accuracy to ensure high-quality results.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • An open car licence
  • A current first aid/CPR certificate
  • A national police clearance
  • Demonstrated experience as an Underground Driller Offsider (desirable)
  • The ability to work 12-hour days in small teams
  • A good level of physical fitness
