Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to take on the role of Environmental Sustainability Specialist.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert environmental advice to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Environmental Team to implement an effective environmental management framework, including audit and inspection programs, environmental assessment procedures, and incident management processes.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and contribute to creating value for the community.
  • Conduct site inspections to identify hazards or potential risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Offer professional environmental advice to all levels of staff.
  • Participate in environmental impact assessments and develop environmental management plans where applicable.
Essential Qualifications
  • Degree qualification in Environmental Science or a related field, or equivalent experience with ongoing professional development.
  • Current General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence.
  • Experience working within or developing an environmental management system certified to ISO 14001.
  • Proven experience in environmental investigation and reporting.
  • Knowledge of current NSW environmental legislation.
  • Practical experience in conducting site inspections and providing professional environmental advice.
