Environmental Management Coordinator role at Central Coast Council. Is the environment and investigation work your passion? We are seeking a new Environmental Management Coordinator with skills to help rewrite the future with us.
Responsibilities- Provide environmental advice to ensure compliance with environmental legislation.
- Support the Environmental Systems team by applying the Environmental Management Framework and guidance through the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001), audit and inspection programs, environmental assessment procedures, and incident management processes.
- Provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
- Conduct site inspections for identification, assessment and advice on the control of hazards or potential risk.
- Provide professional environmental advice to all levels of staff.
- Contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments and the development of Environmental Management Plans where applicable.
- Degree qualification in Environmental Studies or related field, or demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role with ongoing professional development.
- Current General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Current Class C Drivers Licence.
- Demonstrated experience in working within and/or developing an environmental management system certified to ISO 14001.
- Demonstrated experience in environmental investigation and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience in Environmental Impact Assessments and the development of Environmental Management Plans.
- Detailed knowledge of current NSW environmental legislation.
- Experience in conducting site inspections for identification, assessment and advice on control of hazards or potential risk.
- Practical experience in providing professional environmental advice to all levels of staff.
- Permanent full-time role with a 9 day fortnight and hybrid/flexible working arrangements (2 days from home, 3 days onsite).
- Salary up to $92,900 per year, with progression up to $107,700 on assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation.
- Location: Wyong Administration Building.
