Overview

Location: Central Coast NSW, New South Wales

Role: Environmental Management Coordinator

Contract: Permanent full time

Work pattern: 9 day fortnight with flexible/hybrid working arrangements available

Responsibilities
  • Provide environmental advice to ensure compliance with environmental legislation
  • Support environmental management using the Environmental Management Framework and ISO 14001 system, including audit and inspection programs, environmental assessment procedures, and incident management processes
  • Deliver quality customer service and create value for the community
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
  • A degree in Environmental Studies or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, with ongoing professional development
  • A current General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • A current Class C Drivers Licence
  • Demonstrated experience in working within and/or developing an environmental management system certified to ISO 14001:2004
  • Demonstrated experience in environmental investigation and reporting
  • Demonstrated experience in Environmental Impact Assessments and development of Environmental Management Plans
  • Detailed knowledge of and experience with current NSW environmental legislation
  • Experience conducting site inspections for identification, assessment and advice on control of hazards or potential risk
  • Practical experience in providing professional environmental advice to all levels of staff
Other Information
  • Starting salary up to $92.9k per year with progression to a maximum of $107.7k on assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation
  • Permanent full-time role with 9 day fortnight and hybrid/flexible working conditions (2 days from home, 3 days onsite)
  • Location: Wyong Administration Building
  • Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process to fill other vacancies
