Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Reporting: Lead assessments and craft insightful reports that inform our Executive Team and Board, shaping our risk appetite and guiding decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, auditors, and key influencers.
  • Team Mentoring: Mentor and guide a small team, championing professional growth and cross-functional capability.
Requirements:
  • Proven Background: Proven background in risk and compliance within banking or financial services, with a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Sound knowledge of ASIC and APRA regulations, as well as relevant laws and standards.
  • Leadership Experience: Leadership experience with a passion for mentoring and team development.
  • Analytical Skills: Sharp analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to identify trends and unpack complex risk.
  • Communication Skills: Confidence to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, from colleagues to senior executives.
