Job Title: Maintenance Strategist

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance operations, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance activities across our nationally located fixed plant assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules that ensure optimal asset performance and minimize downtime
  • Monitor and track repair and maintenance tasks delegated to workshops and contractors, ensuring timely completion and compliance with industry standards
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain maintenance budgets, including shutdown budgets
  • Manage and maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to optimize maintenance processes and improve operational efficiency
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to address maintenance-related issues
Requirements:
  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering (electrical or mechanical) or relevant industry experience
  • An understanding of SCADA/DCS and PLC control systems and instrumentation
  • The ability to evaluate, select, and apply maintenance techniques and procedures
  • Experience with planned plant shutdown processes and activities
  • A strong understanding of management of change processes
  • Effective demonstrated preventative maintenance scheduling and planning experience
