Portfolio Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Strategist to join our team. As a key member of the investment management team, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth quantitative equity research and developing advanced statistical models to support investment decisions.

  • Develop and maintain complex quantitative models to forecast portfolio performance and identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of frameworks for monitoring overall portfolio construction and equity managers for performance and process anomalies.
  • Monitor and evaluate market trends, economic indicators, and industry developments as they relate to portfolio positioning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop investment strategies and recommendations using quantitative modelling techniques.
  • Utilise advanced software tools and risk systems to analyse large datasets and derive actionable insights.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Direct equity investment experience.
  • Experience in multi-manager equity portfolio construction.
  • Quantitative portfolio modelling, researching and forecasting; including position sizing, trading, concentration controls, hit rates, rebalancing decisions, quality of data sources, weighting decisions, turnover considerations, trading signals/refinements & style drift.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of ESG factors in the investment process.
  • Experience in undertaking research projects involving financial/ trading and/or economic data.
