Health and Safety Specialist

About the Role:
Pact Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective health and safety policies, procedures, and programs to minimize risks and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Provide training and education to employees on health and safety procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate with site management and other stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of health and safety programs.
- Monitor and report on health and safety performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external regulatory bodies, such as Safe Work NSW and EPA.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of health and safety legislation, codes of practice, and standards.
- Experience in developing, implementing, and auditing safety management systems.
- High level of computer literacy and administrative skills.
- Commitment to sustainability and providing a safe and respectful work environment.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or large, multinational company environment.
- High level of initiative and ability to work effectively and remotely from team.
