Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Real Pet Food Co. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Health and Safety Plans: Create and maintain effective health and safety plans, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct Risk Assessments and Audits: Identify and assess potential hazards, and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Provide Training and Support: Deliver training programs and provide guidance to employees on health and safety procedures, protocols, and best practices.
- Investigate Incidents and Near Misses: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with operations, maintenance, and other teams to ensure health and safety considerations are integrated into all aspects of the business.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Regulatory Requirements: Monitor and comply with relevant health and safety laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements
- Proven Health and Safety Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations: In-depth understanding of relevant health and safety laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with employees, contractors, and management, and build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Project Management and Organizational Skills: Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
