Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Pact Group. As a key member of our Health, Safety, Environment, and Security (HSES) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities- Incident Investigation and Management
Investigate and manage health, safety, and environmental incidents, including root cause analysis and corrective action closure.
Regulatory ComplianceMonitor and drive activities with external regulatory bodies, such as WorkSafe and EPA, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of our Group HSES System.
Environmental, Health, and Safety ProgrammesPlan and implement environmental, health, and safety programmes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Hazard Identification and Risk ManagementIdentify common environmental, health, and safety hazards inherent at our sites and establish guidelines for the control of hazards.
Culture and LeadershipPromote and champion a zero-harm culture by providing expert advice, support, and driving implementation of our Group HSES system.
Training and EducationTrain and educate leaders of our PACT safety management systems.
Requirements- Knowledge and Understanding
Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety Codes of Practice, Standards, and associated obligations.
Skills and ExperienceSkills in hazard identification, risk management, and incident investigation. Some experience in developing, implementing, monitoring, and auditing Safety or Environmental Management Systems.
Education and QualificationsHigh level of computer literacy and developed administrative skills.
Personal QualitiesCommitment to sustainability and providing an honest, respectful environment. High level of initiative and ability to work effectively and remotely from the HSES team.
