We are seeking a seasoned Assistant Kitchen Manager/Sous Chef to lead our kitchen team. This is a full-time salaried position, with on-the-job training commencing immediately.

As Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure seamless daily operation of the kitchen. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining exceptional quality and consistency during service
  • Supervising and mentoring team members
  • Coordinating prep work and culinary operations
  • Ensuring adherence to rigorous food safety standards

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in high-volume kitchen management
  • A passion for delivering outstanding food, providing excellent customer service, and driving business growth
  • Relevant qualifications, including a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
  • Experience cooking over flames or on a char grill
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management abilities
  • The ability to foster teamwork and collaboration
  • Exceptional presentation, organizational, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards
