Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our primary healthcare team in Broome, WA. This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to deliver advanced clinical care services and make a real difference in the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering culturally safe and responsive primary health care aligned with our Model of Care. Key responsibilities include conducting independent patient assessments, diagnoses, and clinical decision-making, prescribing medications under the Kimberley Standard Drug List, ordering and interpreting diagnostic investigations, and collaborating across departments and multidisciplinary teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, you must hold current AHPRA registration with endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner and demonstrated experience in a primary healthcare setting. Additionally, we highly regard candidates with experience working in Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services, clinical expertise in triage, treatment, and ongoing care management, and cultural humility.
