Job Role Overview

This Project Engineer position offers a unique opportunity to work within the Government sector, managing bridge construction, development, and maintenance.

You will be responsible for delivering assigned projects and programs of work, ensuring they meet agreed time, quality, and scope constraints.

  • Lead engineering projects with moderate-to-high complexity, ensuring deliverables align with client expectations.
  • Manage project costs to achieve targets within budget constraints.
  • Coordinate procurement, engagement, and execution of contract work to meet schedule and project objectives in accordance with project designs and specifications.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, taking necessary corrective actions without exceeding budget.
  • Implement quality assurance and control processes, auditing conformance of projects and recording/reporting work quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering required.
  • Possession of a current C Class driver's license.
  • Possession of a current White Card Competency or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and skills in civil engineering, construction management, and procurement.
  • Knowledge of WHS, Environmental, and quality policies and procedures applicable to operational field environments.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Project and works management software tools like SAP and general office software packages.
  • Delivery and management experience of civil construction projects.
Key Skills

The ideal candidate will have strong oral/written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. They should demonstrate initiative, attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously while contributing to team objectives.
