Overview

The Project Manager will lead and manage the development, implementation and evaluation of a Communicable Diseases project within the Health Contact Centre (HCC). This is a unique opportunity to manage a discrete project across domains including service planning and design, information communication technology solutions and organisational change.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure effective and efficient delivery of the project managing scope, time, cost, procurement, quality, risk, human resource and communication management in line with endorsed project management frameworks.
  • Manage project resources, expenses and capital costs against the project forecasts and report on all project elements as required.
  • Provide informal line management, leadership and direction to a small team of project resources, including prioritisation of work deliverables, allocation of work program and project management tasks and monitoring.
  • Develop staff capability by mentoring multi-disciplinary project team(s) as required.
  • Enable informed decision making on project issues by developing timely and relevant written submissions, briefs, presentations and information papers for project stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Excellent leadership and people management capability with the proven ability to lead a team of project management resources in delivery of a key project including human resources, performance, reporting, coaching and mentoring.
  • High level of project management skills, including the design of large scale and complex projects with the ability to achieve successful project outcomes including leading, managing, and directing multi-disciplinary project team/s.
  • Ability to enable informed decision making on project requirements and issues by developing timely and relevant written submissions, briefs, presentations and information papers for project stakeholders.
  • High level analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement solutions to complex issues within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Ability to use effective interpersonal, negotiation, consultation and communication skills appropriate to all stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction, work in a team environment and develop effective working relationship with stakeholders.
  • High level knowledge and application of project and change management framework and methodologies.
