Key Responsibilities
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for undertaking high-quality engineering studies, investigations, and designs within a commercially driven environment.
- Deliver high-quality electrical engineering designs and documentation for Power Transmission and Distribution (T&D) systems, including HV and LV networks, substations, switchyards, and associated infrastructure
- Manage project deliverables to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high technical standard
- Engage directly with clients to understand their technical and commercial requirements, build trust, and provide sound, risk-aware engineering advice
- Support internal design reviews and verification processes to uphold quality assurance standards
- Undertake technical investigations, feasibility studies, and concept-to-detailed design for substations and network upgrades across utility, industrial, and infrastructure projects
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong technical background with experience in heavy industry sectors such as mining, processing, rail, or oil & gas OR within the Electrical Transmissions/Distribution industry
- Proficient in contract management and the commercial aspects of engineering projects
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, timely outputs in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
- Professional and collaborative approach, with strong stakeholder management skills
