About the Role

The role of Occupational Therapist plays a vital part in ensuring students thrive both academically and beyond, contributing to the Catholic Education community in the Northern Territory.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver consultative and clinical support to schools using a Response to Intervention approach for strategies related to handwriting, sensory processing, movement, daily living skills, assistive technology, and curriculum access.
  • Provide professional development and coaching to enhance school staff's and Inclusion Support Services colleagues' skills and confidence.
  • Support the creation and implementation of inclusive programs, sensory spaces, and adjustments to cater to diverse student needs.
  • Conduct assessments, prepare high-quality reports, and maintain accurate records to inform evidence-based interventions and Educational Adjustment Plans.
  • Collaborate with schools, community agencies, and stakeholders to promote best-practice strategies and inclusion.
About You

We seek an Occupational Therapist who:

  • Holds a degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent registration with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrates experience in assessing and supporting school-age children with the ability to tailor interventions according to diverse student requirements.
  • Possesses a valid Northern Territory Driver's Licence and a current Ochre Card.
