CENT operates 18 Catholic schools across the Northern Territory — from Early Learning to Secondary — including five colleges, seven primary schools, one flexible learning centre, and five remote schools. The Position
We're seeking a School Psychologist based in Berrimah, Darwin, for a fixed 1-year, full time contract. In this role, you'll travel to urban and remote schools across the NT, supporting Catholic school principals, teachers, and support staff to design and implement Educational Adjustment Plans and targeted interventions that meet the behavioural, social‑emotional, and learning needs of students requiring individualised programs.
Key Responsibilities
As School Psychologist, you will:
- Conduct psychometric assessments and prepare clinical reports to guide tailored support for students and schools.
- Champion inclusive and equitable practices in line with the Disability Standards for Education
- Lead professional learning initiatives, empowering school staff to differentiate teaching and learning to meet every student's unique needs.
- Provide psycho-educational guidance and support to families and school communities, addressing behavioural, social, and emotional learning needs.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders to apply psychological knowledge and improve student wellbeing, learning, and behaviour outcomes.
- Advise schools on recommendations for Educational Adjustment Plans to maximise student success.

About you:
We are looking for a School Psychologist who:
- Holds appropriate tertiary qualifications and is eligible to register as a Psychologist in Australia.
- Has knowledge of current Australian Government and CENT policies, including the Disability Discrimination Act, and an understanding of supporting students with additional needs.
- Demonstrates awareness of the social, economic, and cultural diversity within the Northern Territory.
- Has experience administering, scoring, and interpreting appropriate screeners and diagnostic assessments to guide student support.
- Holds a valid Northern Territory Driver's Licence and a current Ochre Card.
