We are seeking a qualified professional to fill the position of School Psychologist. This role will involve working with students, teachers, and parents to provide support and guidance.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing educational adjustment plans, and providing psycho-educational guidance to families and school communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychometric assessments and prepare clinical reports to guide tailored support for students and schools.
  • Champion inclusive and equitable practices in line with disability standards.
  • Lead professional learning initiatives to empower school staff to differentiate teaching and learning.
  • Provide psycho-educational guidance and support to families and school communities.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders to apply psychological knowledge and improve student wellbeing, learning, and behaviour outcomes.
Requirements
  • Holds appropriate tertiary qualifications and is eligible to register as a psychologist in Australia.
  • Has knowledge of current Australian government policies and an understanding of supporting students with additional needs.
  • Demonstrates awareness of the social, economic, and cultural diversity within the Northern Territory.
  • Has experience administering, scoring, and interpreting appropriate screeners and diagnostic assessments.
