Family Support Specialist

This role involves working with disadvantaged children, young people and their families who are at risk of child protection or are already involved.

  • You will be managing a caseload of allocated families and develop strategies to support clients meet their goals.
Essential Requirements
  • A minimum tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or a related field is required.
  • Three to five years experience working with vulnerable individuals is essential.
  • The ability to manage a caseload and develop strategies to assist clients is necessary.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of various intervention strategies including children's needs, parent development, diversity, drug recovery, cycle of violence, crisis planning and family systems.
