Senior Partner – Data Protection Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Partner, Data Protection to lead our Group Risk division. As the Senior Partner – Data Protection Specialist, you will be at the forefront of shaping how we protect customer data and meet evolving regulatory expectations.

You will lead the charge in crafting and maintaining privacy policies, consent mechanisms, and data handling protocols that reflect our commitment to transparency and trust.

Your expertise will guide us through complex regulatory landscapes, including the Privacy Act and CDR Rules, while influencing how we design products and transformation initiatives with data protection at their core.

You will play a critical role in embedding data protection into every customer journey and digital experience.

With a sharp eye on emerging risks and regulatory trends, you will help future-proof our compliance frameworks and inspire a proactive, values-driven culture through training and stakeholder engagement.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will bring deep expertise in data governance, privacy, and regulatory compliance within the banking or financial services sector.

You will have a strong understanding of the Privacy Act and the Consumer Data Right framework, along with a proven ability to lead complex compliance initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.

Your analytical mindset, problem-solving capabilities, and clear communication skills will be essential, as will your familiarity with risk and control frameworks, including control design and assurance activities.
