Job Title: Data Protection Specialist

This role is a key member of the Privacy Governance team, responsible for supporting the company's mission to improve the quality of life of patients, customers, and partners.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Privacy Governance to manage global privacy requirements, particularly those related to public-facing obligations such as data subject requests, incident management, and notices.

  • Point of contact for global data subject requests, streamlining processes across multiple business lines in different regions.
  • Handle initial intake from various channels and assist with responses to inquiries from regulators, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with global privacy governance projects, including compliance with federal and state laws; regulations such as HIPAA.
  • Track and support incident response activities, collaborating with stakeholders like the cybersecurity response team.
  • Implement and review policies, notices, and practices to ensure compliance with global privacy obligations.
  • Research and monitor changes in privacy laws and regulations, summarizing their implications on digital health solutions and customer data.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in data protection, preferably at a multinational company in the medical device industry or technology sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in law or business studies preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills, with proficiency in English.
  • Knowledge of global privacy laws and data protection frameworks.
  • Customer service-focused, with the ability to think ahead and balance business needs with legal risks.
