Executive Planning Director

This role leads a team across the functions of planning, certification, and regulation. Reporting to a senior leader, you will contribute to driving innovation and measurable outcomes.

About the Role

As an Executive Planning Director, you will provide expert leadership across a broad portfolio including statutory and strategic planning, building certification, regulatory services, administration, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple functions within the organisation
  • Work strategically across the organisation to align operations with organisational priorities and values
  • Contribute to a collaborative leadership group committed to driving innovation and measurable outcomes

The successful applicant will require excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Essential Skills
  • Degree in Urban and Regional Planning or related field AND/OR Building Certification (Unrestricted or Restricted)
  • Demonstrated contemporary experience in a similar role; or substantial contemporary experience in a similar role, coupled with ongoing professional development
Desirable Skills
  • Relevant postgraduate project management qualification(s)
  • Local Government experience including relevant legislative framework
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary circa $125,484 - $144,306 per annum, plus super and salary packaging options. The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government Award and Parkes Shire Council's policies and conditions of employment.
