About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Canberra South. As a Disability Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with a disability in your local community.

You will be responsible for providing active, person-centered support to individuals with disabilities in their own homes and in the community. This will involve personal care and domestic assistance, community access and transportation, and maintaining and monitoring person-centered plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal care and domestic assistance
  • Community access and transportation
  • Maintaining and monitoring person-centered plans
  • Documenting and progress note keeping
  • Developing rapport and strong relationships with individuals and their families

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships and strong rapport with individuals and their families
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and own registered and reliable vehicle
