As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities.
About the Role:- This locum opportunity offers fully paid placements ranging from 3 to 12 weeks, based in remote NT communities, with travel and accommodation covered.
- You will receive cultural orientation and 24/7 support to help you transition into remote healthcare.
- This program includes free CPD-accredited eLearning with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).
- This is an unparalleled opportunity to immerse yourself in Aboriginal culture and explore some of Australia's most breathtaking remote landscapes.
- A Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or equivalent) is required.
- Minimum 12 months of relevant clinical experience is necessary.
- CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Evidence of recent CPD in Hand Hygiene, Infection Control and Sterilisation/Introduction to reprocessing reusable Medical Devices within the past 12 months is required.
- Minimum 6 months of relevant full-time clinical experience working as a dental assistant within the past 2 years is needed.
To be successful in this role, you should possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
