Key Responsibilities of a Lab Technician include testing concrete samples, maintaining and recording information, reporting results and calibrating equipment.

Job Overview

This is an opportunity to work independently and report to the Lab Supervisor in a small team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Testing on concrete samples with precision and accuracy.
  • Maintaining and recording relevant information, reporting results in a timely manner and calibrating equipment as required.
  • Ensuring all NATA accreditation requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Concrete or Quarry laboratory testing is desirable but not essential.
  • Nata signatory for Concrete or Aggregates tests is also desirable but not essential.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in science or another relevant discipline such as Civil, Chemical or Materials Science would be beneficial.
  • Strong skills and understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting of data, especially Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities effectively.
