Key Responsibilities of a Lab Technician include testing concrete samples, maintaining and recording information, reporting results and calibrating equipment.
Job OverviewThis is an opportunity to work independently and report to the Lab Supervisor in a small team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Testing on concrete samples with precision and accuracy.
- Maintaining and recording relevant information, reporting results in a timely manner and calibrating equipment as required.
- Ensuring all NATA accreditation requirements are met.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in Concrete or Quarry laboratory testing is desirable but not essential.
- Nata signatory for Concrete or Aggregates tests is also desirable but not essential.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in science or another relevant discipline such as Civil, Chemical or Materials Science would be beneficial.
- Strong skills and understanding of computer systems for monitoring and reporting of data, especially Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities effectively.
