Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Support Specialist to join our research team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert technical support in the fields of physics, mathematics and computer coding, with a focus on noble gas mass spectrometry and laboratory procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical support in the operation and maintenance of scientific equipment, including noble gas mass spectrometers.
  2. Develop and implement new methods and procedures for data analysis and interpretation.
  3. Collaborate with researchers to design and conduct experiments, and to develop new techniques and instruments.
  4. Maintain accurate records of experiments, results and procedures.
  5. Contribute to the development of new research proposals and funding applications.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Physics, Mathematics or a related field.
  • Expertise in noble gas mass spectrometry and laboratory procedures.
  • Strong background in computer programming and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
