About the Opportunity

We are seeking an Electrical/Electronics Engineer with a passion for electronic design and embedded software to join our Product Engineering team.

This role involves the development of new products and maintenance of our existing product range, associated systems, and automated testing environment.

  • Key areas of accountability include developing electronic and embedded software solutions for existing products, systems, and applications.
  • You will implement and review quality systems, product & process improvements, validate and improve designs in existing products, systems, and applications, research and propose new tools, methods, techniques, and innovations for future development.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams for the development of products and application solutions.

Educational requirements include a degree qualification in Electrical/Electronics or Computer Engineering, although a double degree or trade qualification is desirable.

Essential skills and experience include electronics design, embedded firmware C/C++ development, personal communication skills, knowledge of standards and certification processes for hazardous area products.

Desirable skills and experience include an enthusiasm for electronics, problem-solving abilities, mechanical aptitude, experience with Python, LUA, or other scripting languages, device driver and low-level code development, debugging, and experience working with Linux.
