Advanced Electro-Optical Systems Designer

Lead the design of advanced electro-optical systems that directly impact national security. Collaborate with international experts and undertake technical design studies to integrate technologies into high-performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electro-Optical Leadership: Define system architecture, technology evaluations, and performance assessments.
- System Requirements: Develop comprehensive subsystem specifications.
- Modelling & Simulation: Validate system performance under real-world conditions.
- Technology Integration: Assess and integrate optics, sensors, electronics, and mechanical subsystems.
- Technical Collaboration: Work with international experts and suppliers to ensure robust designs.
- Design & Compliance: Lead design reviews, manage documentation, and oversee compliance assessments.
- Risk Management: Participate in risk analysis and strategic planning for system production and deployment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optics, Physics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in optronic or electro-optical systems.
- Strong understanding of optical system principles and sensor electronics.
- Experience with modelling and simulation tools.
- Cross-functional experience and leadership skills.
- Security clearance (BASELINE) on commencement, with ability to obtain NV1.
