Job Overview

This position is responsible for leading electro-optical design studies, including architecture definition, technology trade-offs, and performance evaluation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of optical system design, focal plane arrays, sensor electronics, image processing, and real-time systems.

They will be able to develop models and simulations to predict system performance in operational environments.

Additionally, the candidate will need to conduct technology assessments and propose suitable solutions across optics, sensors, electronics, and mechanics.

Collaboration with international partners and cross-functional engineering teams is also essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Define high-level system requirements and decompose them into subsystem specifications.
  • Develop models and simulations to predict system performance in operational environments.
  • Conduct technology assessments and propose suitable solutions across optics, sensors, electronics, and mechanics.
  • Collaborate with experts from our parent company to integrate specialist knowledge into the local system design.
  • Prepare and lead design reviews, technical documentation, and compliance assessments.
  • Support supplier selection, integration planning, and system validation in lab environments.
  • Contribute to risk analysis, cost estimation, and planning activities for future production.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optics, Physics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in designing and developing optronic or electro-optical systems.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical design activities and manage system-level integration challenges.
  • Strong understanding of optical system design, focal plane arrays, sensor electronics, image processing, and real-time systems.
  • Familiarity with modelling and simulation tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
