About the Role
As a Support Worker within our shared living team, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering people with disability to live independently. You will provide a range of services, including assisting clients with activities of daily living, such as menu planning, cooking, and cleaning. You will also support clients with personal care needs and assist with medication.
You will work in a team environment and independently, delivering person-centred programs that promote an active lifestyle and community participation. You will also work to behaviour support plans, utilising positive behaviour strategies.
Communication with families about clients' progress is essential, as is the ability to engage, communicate, and build partnerships with people.
About You
We are seeking a passionate and energetic individual who is committed to making a difference in the lives of people with disability. You will be a positive and creative problem-solver, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in the disability sector is essential, as is the ability to support others with personal and hygiene care. You will demonstrate resilience, empathy, and self-confidence, with high levels of enthusiasm, initiative, and a positive attitude.
You must have a driver's license and vehicle, and be willing to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, days, afternoons, weekends, and wake-over shifts.
