About this Role

We're seeking a professional and capable security expert to protect Defence personnel, assets and infrastructure.

This is a critical frontline role where you will be responsible for proactive patrols, access management and on-site presence.

You'll operate in a complex environment requiring professionalism, discretion and situational awareness.

This is your chance to contribute directly to Australia's national security as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Access Control - Ensure only authorised personnel are permitted on site by monitoring entry and exit points.
  • Foot Patrols - Conduct regular patrols to maintain situational awareness and deter potential threats.
  • Stakeholder Liaison - Build rapport with Defence personnel, contractors and visitors while delivering a strong security presence.
  • Incident Response - React promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies or suspicious behaviour.
  • Compliance Monitoring - Ensure site protocols and Defence security procedures are followed.
  • Reporting & Documentation - Accurately record incidents, shift activities and observations according to site requirements.
Requirements
  • Australian Citizenship - required for Defence security clearance eligibility
  • A current Security Licence valid in QLD
  • Baseline Defence Clearance or must be willing to obtain a Baseline Clearance
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with Defence personnel and site stakeholders
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions
  • A strong sense of integrity, accountability and attention to detail
