The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Case Manager to join our team in Canberra. As a key member of our Federal Self-Insurance business unit, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Physical and Psychological claims. Your primary focus will be on guiding injured workers and their employers through the workers compensation process, ensuring optimum return to work outcomes.

Your Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage mental health and physical claims, utilizing your exceptional customer service and decision-making skills to make a positive impact on someone's life every day.
  • Adopt a service-oriented approach that prioritizes early intervention and the interests of all stakeholders.
  • Facilitate active participation of the injured worker and their employer in any return to work and recovery planning.
  • Bring your existing skills to a team aligned with Federal Self-Insurance, where you can do more of what you love or learn something new.

About You

  • You will have a background in customer service and a strong understanding of the workers compensation process.
  • You will display a high level of empathy and resilience when supporting injured workers through your customer-centric approach.
  • You will be proactive, strategically focused, and able to think creatively when engaging with stakeholders such as workers, employers, providers, and family.
  • You will have strong communication skills and be able to build rapport and confidence with your customers.
  • You will effectively listen and understand the needs of the customer and what is important to them to enable their recovery and return to work.
