Job Opportunity

The Australian Defence Force is seeking a skilled Public Relations (PR) professional to collaborate with the Army on strategic communication initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafting press releases for media dissemination
  • Fostering relationships with media professionals, particularly those covering defence news
  • Assembling visual content of Army activities and personnel for promotional materials
  • Organising media awareness training for service personnel
  • Providing counsel to Army command staff on sensitive matters involving uniformed personnel

To be successful in this role, you should have a proven track record in PR, journalism, marketing, and corporate communications. You must also meet the eligibility criteria set by the Australian Defence Force, including being an Australian citizen between 17 and 56 years old, and physically and mentally fit for basic military training.

As a member of the team, you will contribute to the development of effective communication strategies that enhance the Army's reputation and promote its values.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
