The Australian Army is seeking a highly skilled Public Relations Officer to play a key role in shaping public perception of the nation's armed forces.

As a key member of the communications team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communications strategies to enhance the Army's image and reputation.
Main Responsibilities:- Drafting press releases for media distribution, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of information to various stakeholders.
- Establishing strong relationships with media personnel, particularly those covering defence issues, to foster trust and facilitate seamless communication.
- Curating high-quality visual content, showcasing Army personnel and activities, for use in promotional materials.
- Organizing media training sessions for service members to equip them with the necessary skills to effectively engage with the media.
- Providing strategic counsel to Army command staff on sensitive matters involving uniformed personnel, leveraging your expertise to inform decision-making.
To excel in this role, you will possess a proven track record in PR, journalism, marketing, and corporate communications. Additionally, you will need to demonstrate physical and mental fitness required for basic military training.
