A challenging role has become available for a highly skilled Principal Procurement Officer to join our team at Public Sector People.

About the RoleThis pivotal position plays a crucial part in driving the procurement strategy and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective solutions. Key responsibilities include leading complex procurement initiatives, providing strategic procurement advice, fostering strong relationships with suppliers and internal clients, and contributing to the development and implementation of innovative procurement strategies and processes.
Requirements- Extensive experience in high-value, high-risk procurement, preferably within a government agency.
- A deep understanding of procurement principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive and results-oriented approach.
- Diploma of Business - Procurement or CIPS Certification.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a Brisbane CBD location, with the possibility of working from home after three months in the role.
