About the Role
This senior procurement specialist will lead complex procurement initiatives from tender development to contract negotiation and management. They will provide strategic procurement advice to key stakeholders and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Procurement: Lead high-value, high-risk procurement initiatives, fostering strong relationships with suppliers and internal clients.
- Expert Advice: Provide procurement guidance to stakeholders, ensuring effective procurement processes and risk mitigation.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to innovative procurement strategies and processes that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in high-value, high-risk procurement within a government agency or similar setting.
- A deep understanding of procurement principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and mitigate risks, with excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- A proactive approach with a focus on results-driven performance.
Your Skills & Experience
- Diploma of Business - Procurement or CIPS Certification.
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a track record of successful procurement outcomes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, contributing to a collaborative work environment.
