A competitive salary of $83,000 per annum plus superannuation awaits an experienced AO7 Principal Procurement Officer in a pivotal role within the Public Sector. Based in Brisbane CBD, this 6-month contract offers opportunities for professional growth and development.

About the Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the procurement strategy and ensuring delivery of high-quality, cost-effective solutions. Key responsibilities include leading complex procurement initiatives, providing expert advice to stakeholders, fostering strong relationships with suppliers and internal clients, and contributing to innovative procurement strategies and processes.

Salary and Benefits: A remuneration package of $83,000 per annum plus superannuation is on offer. With the flexibility to work from home after three months, this opportunity also includes weekly pay and the chance to work within one of Queensland's most important State Government Departments.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need extensive experience in high-value, high-risk procurement, preferably within a government agency. A deep understanding of procurement principles, methodologies, and best practices is essential, as well as strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and mitigate risks. Excellent negotiation and communication skills are also required, along with a proactive and results-oriented approach.

Your Skills & Experience: You will have a Diploma of Business - Procurement or CIPS Certification, demonstrated experience in a similar role, and strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective relationships. Additionally, you will have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a willingness to contribute to the development and implementation of innovative procurement strategies and processes.
