Role Overview:

  • ">
  • This is a newly created role in Risk Analytics & Insights with a focus on managing data assets.">
  • You will oversee data source systems, risks and incidents, capture, record and progress fixes for data issues for timely delivery of data reporting.">
  • The role also has an ongoing focus of providing source to target mapping, working with developers on designing and building data assets to meet the Group's Risk Reporting & Insights requirements.">

Duties & Responsibilities:

">
  1. ">
  2. Engage with business clients to understand data requirements and document objectives, requirements in/out of scope, risks, issues and challenges.">
  3. Analyse source systems, existing Enterprise, Risk & other data sets to determine most appropriate data sources that'll meet customer requirements.">
  4. Assess quality of determined data sets to identify gaps, issues and variances and document them as technical findings.">
  5. Discuss technical findings with clients, help them accept the variances or carry out more detailed analysis as requested by customers until agreed and signed off by them.">
  6. Assist in defining the data checks and reconciliations required to ensure quality of data solution delivered.">
  7. Prepare test scripts, perform testing of data assets prior to production roll out to ensure customer requirements have been met.">
  8. Perform UAT & PIV of clients' data assets for validity & accuracy to ensure output produced is in line with previous reporting periods.">
  9. Document and investigate, track data issues identified to closure.">
  10. Establish controls to ensure data produced is fit for purpose, test and validate the performance of these controls.">
  11. Support and drive the migration of legacy reporting processes to Tableau.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Solid understanding of Credit Risk ratios such as PD, LGD, EAD etc. and BASEL compliance requirements.">
  • Proficiency in SAS, R, SQL, PL/SQL, Hive and UNIX shell scripting.">
  • Proficiency in relational databases such as Teradata, big data platforms, such as Hadoop and visualisation tools such as Tableau.">
  • Effective communication skills to present in front of senior stakeholders.">
  • Tertiary qualifications well regarded.">
