Job Title:

Data Asset Manager

This is a senior role within the Financial Institution's Risk Analytics Business Unit, focusing on managing data assets.

Key responsibilities include overseeing data source systems, identifying risks and incidents, and collaborating with developers to design and build data assets that meet the Group's Risk Reporting requirements.

  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand data needs and document objectives, requirements, risks, issues, and challenges.
  • Analyse existing data sources and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assess data quality and document technical findings.
  • Communicate technical findings to stakeholders and facilitate discussion.
  • Develop and implement data checks and reconciliations to ensure data quality.
  • Test and validate data assets before production rollout.
  • Perform UAT and PIV to verify client data assets for validity and accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve data issues to closure.
  • Evaluate controls to ensure produced data meets business requirements and test their performance.
  • Support migration of legacy reporting processes to cloud-based platforms.

Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of credit risk management concepts and Basel compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as SAS, R, SQL, PL/SQL, Hive, and UNIX shell scripting.
  • Experience with relational databases, big data platforms, and visualization tools like Tableau.
  • Effective communication skills to present complex information to senior stakeholders.
  • Tertiary qualifications highly regarded.
