Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized Electrical Engineer to join our Global Product team on a contract.
In this role, you will support New Product Development (NPD) teams to bring award-winning small kitchen appliances to market.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end electronic design process, developing, testing, and releasing products that meet the highest standards of performance, quality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead detailed PCBA design using Altium, ensuring Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles are met.
- Build functional circuits and prototypes for verification and validation testing.
- Execute full electronic development cycle in collaboration with firmware, mechanical, and quality engineers.
- Conduct FMEA, PFMEA, DFx, and statistical analyses to ensure design robustness.
- Draft and manage test plans for electronic components and systems, conducting failure analysis where required.
- Oversee product compliance testing with UL, IEC, and EMC standards; prepare and submit supporting documentation.
- Maintain technical documentation (schematics, BOMs, test reports) to support formal production and component release.
- Evaluate factory production runs and perform quality audits, ensuring alignment with engineering specifications and capacity plans.
- Liaise daily with global vendors to resolve production issues and ensure timely delivery of samples and components.
- Coordinate closely with Compliance Laboratories and internal stakeholders to meet project timelines and compliance objectives.
- Uphold occupational health and safety standards and contribute to continuous improvement in documentation and quality systems.
- Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering with relevant industry experience.
- Strong experience in schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium.
- Proven ability in electronic circuit design, prototyping, and fault analysis.
- Solid understanding of electronics manufacturing processes and compliance testing.
- Experience preparing technical documentation, including BOMs, test reports, and specifications.
- Familiarity with Arduino or similar platforms and basic software coding.
- Hands-on project management and quality auditing experience.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and intercultural relationship-building skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and cost-consciousness.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to travel and work directly with offshore vendors and manufacturers.
